Job Duties
Manages design concepts and production for Auburn Magazine. Also
manages the communications department which operates as an in-house graphic
design agency supporting the Office of Alumni Affairs. Our work includes
programs and services, advertising and design needs from concepting complete
marketing campaigns, i.e. brochures, postcards, posters to overseeing the
Alumni Affairs website and electronic communications. Supervises and mentors
communications staff comprised of Auburn Magazine art director,
web manager, interns and student designers. Also oversees the department
budget.

Career
Other than working with Alumni Affairs and Auburn Magazine my design career has spanned from healthcare to high tech, industrial corporations to museums, and from packaging to electronic web design.

Husband, AU Graduate Dr. Doug Hankes '85, and teenage son Keegan
Hobbies/Interests
meeting fellow artists, gallery hopping, bird watching, working
on hand-built clay sculptures, gardening, sustainability, and traveling
to the Southwest
