I was honored to become an Auburn University Alpha Xi Delta in the Fall of 2008, but there is nothing that holds a candle to forever becoming connected to Patti (Plath) White. We witnessed a great deal through our years on campus and she never failed to lift me up when I was down. I may never have survived my first semester without her and I know I wouldn’t have done nearly as much with my time.

She was working, going to school, helping with countless events, and bringing more women to a new level of love for Auburn. She grew up just off the plains in Opelika with two parents and a sister, she was raised to be an Auburn woman. She is kind, smart, selfless, beautiful inside and out, and I will owe a debt to her gorgeous soul for as long as I am alive. I’m proud to call myself an Auburn woman because I learned to be one from such a great role model and an even better friend.

Strong Auburn women like her, may we know them, may we raise them, may we love them, and may we be them!
