I am a stronger woman because I am an Auburn woman; my dad went to Auburn University. Growing up my parents were season football ticket holders. I remember tailgating, tiger walks, and of course rolling Toomer’s Corner.

I also attended Auburn University and graduated with a degree in Spanish. I went on to receive a B.S. in Nursing and then a M.S. in Nursing.

I am currently a nurse practitioner with an inpatient neurology team. While at Auburn, I became a more independent and empowered woman. I joined organizations and held leadership positions that helped me realize that I was capable of achieving more than I had planned for myself.

Although I now live in Chicago, Ill., Auburn University will always hold a special place in my heart and I am forever thankful for the knowledge and encouragement I received.
