My first visit to Auburn was for a War Eagle Day Campus tour in 2001. I met the current SGA president and Miss Auburn during that tour. Everyone I met that day was very welcoming and Auburn already felt like home. Even my mother, who is a proud graduate of the University of Alabama, acknowledged how friendly everyone was.
Attending Auburn was truly a defining moment for me because I literally left my other half and really began to discover myself and who I wanted to be. My twin sister attended the University of Alabama.
From 2002-2006 at Auburn I gained lifelong friends who have become more like family. My involvement with the COSAM Summer Bridge program as a participant and as a counselor helped me acclimate to college life and allowed me to help others do the same. The BS in Biomedical Sciences degree that I received laid the foundation for my career as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Membership in other Campus organizations such as Black Student Union and the Kappa Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. furthered my interests in serving my community. All in all, Auburn will always hold a special place in my heart. I believe in Auburn and Love it.
