Scholarships


The Auburn Alumni Association, through the Auburn Alumni Association Endowment and the Auburn Club Scholarship program awarded more than 150 scholarships for the 2009-2010 academic year. Your application to Auburn University serves as your application to these scholarships.
The Auburn Alumni Association Endowment
The Auburn Alumni Association Endowment for Scholarships is a merit-based scholarship given to children whose parents are lifetime members of the Auburn Alumni Association. The number of scholarships awarded is based on the earnings distributed to the spendable account. The criteria for this scholarship are a 3.0 GPA and a 25-29 on the ACT or comparable SAT. This scholarship is a one-year $1,500 scholarship for incoming students, including transfer students (with a 3.0 GPA). Students pursuing a second undergraduate degree or first professional degree are excluded from consideration. Fifty percent of the awards will be given to in-state students, and fifty percent of the awards will be given to out-of-state students. Students who have received a scholarship of equal or greater value from the Office of University Scholarships are excluded from consideration.. See a list of this year's scholars....
The Auburn Alumni Association PLUS Scholarship
In an effort to increase diversity among the undergraduate student population at Auburn University, the Provost has created, with the help of generous financial support from corporate partners and the Auburn Alumni Association, the Provost Leadership Undergraduate Scholarship (PLUS) Program. The PLUS program assists participants financially by providing them a $2,000 scholarship per academic year renewable up to three years, and supports them academically and socially to ensure that they succeed at Auburn University. The Auburn Alumni Association has join this effort by supplying funding from the Auburn Alumni Association Scholars Endowment. This program has been developed to complement goals of the Auburn University Strategic Diversity Plan. The 2 Alumni PLUS Scholars for 2009-2010 are: Jeanetta Thomas of Attala, AL and Demetrius Garner of Town Creek, AL.

Auburn Club Scholarships
In 2009-2010, 55 Auburn Clubs awarded over 150 scholarships worth $400,000. Qualifications for Auburn Club Scholarships vary with each club. Most are based on financial need and/or academic qualifications. See if the Auburn Club in your area has a scholarship.
