ALUM Scholarships

The Auburn Alumni Association endowed scholarships now provide the opportunity for children of Life Members of the Association to receive merit-based scholarships to Auburn University during their first year at Auburn. The number of scholarships awarded is based on the earnings distributed from the Auburn Alumni Association Scholars Endowment.

In the last 12 years, the Auburn Alumni Association has awarded 850 student scholarships. 106 of these scholarships were provided through a $1 million endowment funded by the Association during Auburn's last capital campaign. The first alumni endowed scholarships were awarded in 1998-99.

To qualify for the Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship a student must have at least a 3.0 GPA, a 29 ACT or SAT equivalent, have a parent or guardian who is an alum and a life member of the Association.

New Diversity Scholarship Opportunity

In an effort to increase diversity among the undergraduate student population at Auburn University, the Provost has created, with the help of generous financial support from corporate partners and the Auburn Alumni Association, the Provost Leadership Undergraduate Scholarship (PLUS) Program. The PLUS program assists participants financially by providing them a $2,000 scholarship per academic year renewable up to three years, and supports them academically and socially to ensure that they succeed at Auburn University. The Auburn Alumni Association has join this effort by supplying funding from the Auburn Alumni Association Scholars Endowment. This program has been developed to complement goals of the Auburn University Strategic Diversity Plan.
