Just in case anyone asks, no, it is not possible to show too much AU spirit. But, if you are hoarse from too many “War Eagles” and running out of toilet paper for the oak in your front yard, then grab some scissors and get ready for something new.
This do-it-yourself Auburn ornament pattern is a fun way to show your spirit. Just ask Pete Baljet ’91, whose 9-year-old daughter, Olivia, crafted the one pictured above after the Iron Bowl last weekend.
Olivia used the template from the new Cub Corner section (page 55) in the current issue of Auburn Magazine, but the pattern can also be downloaded here. This section is a new addition to the magazine, aimed at providing creative hands-on activities for the young and young-at-heart.
Thank you to Pete for sending in the pictures of Olivia and her wonderful new ornament. If you would like to share photos of your resident artist with his/her ornament, please do! Email them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
