A Kite for the Arts

By October 18, 2010 No Comments

This year marks Auburn’s inaugural celebration of National Arts and Humanities Month, Americans for the Arts’ nationwide celebration of the importance of American art and culture in daily life.

Today, Auburn’s Department of Art is honoring the arts and humanities with kites. From noon to 2 p.m. on the lawn of Cater Hall, the department invited Auburn students and faculty and the Auburn community to come decorate a kite and hoist it in honor of what the arts and humanities have done for them.

The Caroline Marshall Draughon Center for the Arts & Humanities created a master calendar of all the events happening in Auburn during the month of October in honor NAHM. The month October had 25 different events listed for people to attend to celebrate the arts and humanities.
