The lessons, experiences, friends, and education I received from my Auburn experience has shaped my life and made me the woman I am today. I have learned that throughout each point in your life, you have to remember to leave a little room for flexibility. Because when that happens, you have the opportunity to embark on an unexpected adventure that impacts your life so profoundly that you decide to change where you’re going to school, what you’re studying, what you’ll do after you graduate and where home truly is.
I started my Auburn story with a college visit on my birthday of my senior year of high school. I had already committed to another school and had a place to live and a roommate, but I wanted a free day out of school with my friends. I took the tour and found myself on the Concourse outside of the Haley Center surrounded by Auburn students singing “Happy Birthday” to me, thanks to my Student Recruiter.
