I came to Auburn as a Junior from TCU, in Texas. I had never heard of Auburn University until I met some students while on vacation in Destin, Fla. I went home and told my parents that I had met the nicest people in the world and I wanted to transfer. Needless to say, they were not sold on me going so far away from home. But I was persistent and they agreed to a visit. I truly believe God was leading me to the place where I could grow into the person He wanted me to be.
I loved Auburn and so did my parents from the minute we walked on campus. Everyone we met was so incredibly friendly and our place in the Auburn Family was sealed. I studied and graduated in Political Science, was a Tiger Pause, made friends of a lifetime, and met my incredible husband! My sister, Mary Ashley, also attended, graduated, and met her husband at Auburn.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]I loved every minute as a student, but over the years my love for all things Auburn has only grown. I had never had that sense of belonging until I became part of the Auburn Family.
My husband John and I have been married for twenty-eight years and we are so happy we shared that first date at the Sani-Freeze. Now our youngest daughter, Kallee, is a senior at Auburn. She is studying Finance and is well on her way to becoming an amazing Auburn Woman.
I am so proud to be a thread in the intricately woven tapestry of the Auburn Family! I love that no matter where I go in this world, I am almost guaranteed to hear a “War Eagle” from someone and in an instant we are connected.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]I truly believe in Auburn and love it.
