My father’s parents had met while attending Auburn and my dad had gone to Auburn, so it was the only place I ever considered for college. I started the fall of 1984 and graduated with my bachelors degree in Spanish in 1989. I stayed to go to graduate school and completed my Masters of Hispanic Studies degree in 1991.

While at Auburn, I was on the flag corps and met my future husband who was on the drum line, and also a third generation Tiger. I am now the world languages department chair and a Spanish teacher at Starr’s Mill High School in Fayetteville, GA. My son is finishing his freshman year at Auburn next week! So he will be a fourth generation Tiger!

Fun fact: engagement and wedding rings for my grandmother, my mom and myself all came from Ware’s Jewelers in downtown Auburn! I loved my years at Auburn and will always consider it to be home![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
