And in 1975, when I transferred to Auburn from West Georgia, there were only a couple of students at AU from my hometown. (I had fallen in love with Auburn while on a road trip from Atlanta to Mobile.)
I spent 3 great years at AU, then left to get married. Eleven years and 3 children later, I returned to finish my degree. (Two weeks before my 35th birthday.) Ten years later, I earned my master’s (’99), and 14 years after that, earned a doctorate (’13).
I was a nontraditional student for most of my years at Auburn, but loved every minute.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
