I also knew I wanted to pursue a commission in the United States Navy and serve my country. I fell in love with Auburn when I first visited, and I learned that Auburn has an amazing Navy ROTC program, and had a long military tradition. Auburn was PERFECT for me. I was selected for a NROTC Scholarship to attend and pursue a commission, and I was excited to start the next chapter of my life. I soon learned that coming to a huge school alone led a few lonely days, but I had a family with NROTC, my sorority; Gamma Phi Beta, my business fraternity; Alpha Kappa Psi and my St. Michael’s church family.

I could not be the Officer, leader, woman I am today without my experience at Auburn. I was able to study abroad to Eastern Europe with the Harbert College of Business, become President of one of the larges AKPsi chapters in the region, and made lifelong friends along the way. I believe and use the Auburn Creed in my daily life, and will instill the values and lessons I have learned to my children one day (and hope they continue an Auburn legacy); “I believe this is a practical world, and I can count only on what I earn. Therefore, I believe in work, hard work”. I have encountered the Auburn family in all facets of my life, whether it was being stationed in Naples, Italy (my last station with Commander Naval Forces Europe/Africa), at an Airport, or even for meeting random alumni at a grocery store. I love that the Auburn family is everywhere, and for this I am grateful.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”19294″ alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

I am a proud to be an Auburn woman, graduate of the Harbert College of Business and to be an Auburn Naval Officer. I believe in Auburn, and LOVE IT! War Eagle!
