Oral History Project

PCI ORAL HISTORY

Whether you were last at Auburn one year or 50 years ago, tell us about your life’s journey. The Auburn Alumni Association has partnered with industry-leader PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to collect your stories for Auburn’s first Oral History Project. PCI is a company located in Dallas, TX that publishes directories and oral histories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities and military organizations across the nation. The alumni association is working with PCI to preserve the history of Auburn University and its graduates. This oral history collection will be added to the Nation Archives’ permanent collection in Washington, D.C.

This project allows the Auburn Alumni Association to hear your story told in your own words. Our Auburn story isn’t complete without yours!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I participate in this Oral History Project?

The Oral History Project will be made available only to alumni of Auburn University and contributing members of the Auburn Alumni Association. Starting September 7, 2021, a postcard will be sent to all alumni that have an active address on file asking you to call (855) 912-9104 to speak with a dedicated representative for the Auburn Alumni Association Oral History Project.

Upon completion of the project, PCI will return to Auburn Alumni Association all electronic files, including audio, that have been supplied by Auburn Alumni Association or produced by PCI in connection with the production of the Oral History Project.

What happens when I call the number on the postcard?

The representative will verify all the information we have on file for you and make any updates where needed. And then ask you a series of questions to allow you the opportunity to tell your personal Auburn story.

The collection of stories will be available for purchase from PCI in a special digital/print publication.
