Marianne Merritt ’79 is the first woman to earn a basketball scholarship to Auburn by Auburn Alumni Association | Aug 28, 2017 Merritt was voted twice to the Coaches’ Top-20 team in the South and represented Auburn in the 2003 class of Women’s SEC Basketball Greats.
